Fall 2025
We are pleased to announce that Al-Hasaniya Moroccan Women's Centre is the Fall 2025 grant recipient. It is a centre where a variety of services are available to ensure those who come are educated, empowered and able to engage on their own. This charity seeks to serve the health, welfare, educational and cultural needs of Moroccan and Arabic-speaking women and their families resident in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea and London-wide.
They will use the £2,500 NAN grant funds to enhance their weekly Friday Lunch Club for vulnerable Arabic-speaking women. Specifically, funds will be used to purchase a large TV screen with stand for workshops, educational sessions, and interactive activities, provide healthy food and refreshments for participants, hire a personal trainer to deliver a 1-hour-weekly session of chair-based exercises to improve mobility, strength, and overall wellbeing, buy art and craft materials, including paints and canvases, to encourage creative expression, invest in brain-stimulating games for older adults, such as memory-matching cards, puzzles, and simple interactive quizzes, supporting cognitive function and social engagement.
These improvements will create a safe, culturally meaningful space where women can socialise, learn, and maintain mental and physical wellbeing, reducing isolation and strengthening community cohesion.
As always, we are grateful to The Hearth, where on 6 November, these three finalists presented their projects:
Spring 2025
We are thrilled to announce Action Disability Kensington & Chelsea (ADKC) as the Spring 2025 grant recipient of £2,600! ADKC is a user-led organisation run by and for disabled people living or working in the borough. They promote equality and inclusion through advocacy, accessible services, and support for independent living.
ADKC will use the NAN grant funds to support the volunteer scheme, which recruits and supports local disabled and non-disabled people to support ADKC. We are thrilled to engage with a local organisation that has building and nurturing community at the core of its mission!
