The Neighbourhood Action Network's mission is to build meaningful relationships and foster generosity by contributing to the thriving communities of Northwest London. By working together and through collective philanthropy, we invest in local charities, raise awareness of community needs, and promote a stronger, more connected future for our neighbourhoods.
Established in 2023, Neighbourhood Action Network is a 100% volunteer-run organisation comprised of women who want to form lasting personal relationships with their neighbours and engage meaningfully with charitable efforts in their own communities.
Each member participates in two annual group meetings and contributes £210 for the year (£105 per meeting). At each meeting, funding proposals are presented by three different charity representatives. NAN members then participate in a voting process, after which one charity is selected as the grant recipient. Together, we are raising awareness of issues—and solutions!—right on our doorsteps, and collectively, we support those who shape the future of Northwest London.
A key element of the Neighbourhood Action Network is to build meaningful relationships across Northwest London for the flourishing of our communities. To that end, our events are held in person, with the explicit intent of meeting our neighbours and the people in our communities who are working toward the positive transformation of our neighbourhoods.
